This beautiful City is perfect as both a Hen Party destination and as a bolt hole for a city break. There are so many exciting things to see and do and getting to Valencia from Britain is straight forward enough and won’t break the bank as the low cost Airlines have it on their route map.
Easy Jet flies from Luton and Stansted and Ryanair from Stansted. As the Airport in Valencia is only five miles west of the City your Hen Party will be there before they know it.
This buzzing City, like many others in Spain has a magical old quarter with an exciting town centre. There’s also a very trendy area called Barrio del Carmen where your Party will find some of the best nightlife.
The city has a great array of upmarket shops and boutiques that will gladden the heart of any “Bride to be” not to mention all the Hens clucking about her on the “Last Hurrah”. There are some great Bars, wine Bars restaurants and Café’s and all will outdo the other in order to satisfy their customers and relieve them of their few euro.
The city hosts some spectacular festivals such as La Tomatina, the world’s largest tomato fight and the perfect place for Hens to let it go….
Held every year in the town of Bunol, a stones throw from Valencia. The event is free and starts at 11.00am when lorry loads of ripe tomatoes are tipped out on the street and the participants, numbering several thousand pelts each other with the fruit all day in this crazy and bizarre event. Attending this festival requires a good sense of humour, a change of clothes and probably goggles. Another great festival is Las Fallas. This four day festival is held every year from the 15th to the 19th of March.
The streets are closed as the city erupts into four days of amazing fun when the partying begins. It is well worth planning your Hen Party trip to Valencia to coincide with one of these fantastic festivals.
Alternatively, if the Hen Party group are interested in fast cars and reckless men, then the F1 arrives in town each year and takes to the streets like the Monaco grand Prix.
Night life plays a big part in the Hen Party celebrations and whatever kind of entertainment your party are looking for, they will find it in Valencia as there are so many Clubs, Discos, Wine bars, bars and theatres. The weekends are the liveliest times but many remain open during the week as well.
Calle Juan Llorne is the spot to hit with two rows of disco-bars that are full of life till about 4.00am. Then there’s the late night Havana Valencia on the same street that remains open till 7.00am.
During the summer, when the weather is just about perfect, there are many night clubs close to the sea cooled beaches and are well worth a visit.
Valencia is on the Mediterranean, has a purpose built yacht basin from where the Famous Americas cup was based. This spectacular harbour that could accommodate one million spectators is a “must see” on the Hen Party list.
