Welcome to Brighton
What a great place for a henparty, it's by the beach, it has a great easygoing atmosphere, anything goes. Brighton has been a tourist destination for over 100 years. It's a collection of seaside villages that over the years have become connected so it feels really intimate - Hove, Rottingdean, Kempton ...
There are loads of cafes, restaurants, bars to hang out in, go swimming, enjoy watersports. If you're a culture vulture, this a treasure trove - from museums to pavilions to piers, theatres and cinemas. Brighton has festivals coming out its ears.
Why Brighton
Brighton has it all, it's very accessible located just over a hours drive from London here on the south coast. It's been a summer retreat for Londoners for years and as such it's a town to be entertained in, definitely somewhere for a top hen weekend.
Visit the beach, go swimming or enjoy any number of watersports - windsurfing, kayaking. There are beautiful parks to walk in such as Stanmer Park. Visit Kiplings Gardens in Rottingdean.
You have to have a look at the Royal Pavilion, it is like something you would find in Delhi or Bombay. It was built as a summer palace for the Prince Regent (George IV) and designed by John Nash - it is contstructed in what is known as a Indo Sarcenic style. Visit Brighton Pier, walk out above the waves, enjoy some candy floss.
You can shop to your hearts content here in Brighton - from small boutique stores to premium brand shops. Visit "the lanes" a maze of narrow alleyway (an old fishing village), loose yourselves in small jewellers, pubs, cafes, antique shops. For more shopping go to Churchill Square, North Laine, Brighton Marina or Hove. Hove itself is a really pretty village, now part of Brighton. Brighton was granted City Status in 2000 by the Queen.
There are festivals year round also - Brighton Festival, Brighton Pride (August & March), Sussex Beer Festival, Brighton Kite Festival, Comedy Festival, Charleston Festival, Festival Fringe - the list just goes on
The nightlife here is as you'd expect - mad and exciting. The best nightclubs on the south coast and plenty of pubs with bands playing - perfect for a hen party. Did you know that ABBA won the Eurovision with their song "Waterloo" when they performed in the Brighton Dome in 1974 ?
